The Covid-19 pandemic has had long lasting effects on the people and businesses of Ireland. It’s no secret however that the lockdown, a necessary evil, has led to a lot of Irish families amassing never before seen amounts of personal savings.

According to Central Bank statistics, at the height of the lockdown deposits in banks and credit unions soared by as much €4.5 billion in March and April alone. In total, during the first nine months of 2020, Irish households made over €11 billion in deposits. Ironically though, banking interest rates are now at historic lows. This, coupled with sometimes outrageous
banking fees, mean that your money could be generating negative interest. In short, your savings may be actually losing value.

So, what can you do about it?.

At The Landman, we specialise in locating off-market serviced zoned land offering investment opportunities for our funding partners. Our relationship with receivers, together with our ability to search online for the
best opportunities, means that we always have a live list of land and property opportunities, guaranteed to be profitable and lucrative for our funding partners.

With Rebuilding Ireland recently committing to plans to open up lands for early development for social housing, by becoming a funding partner with The Landman on these projects, you could utilise your savings in order to invest and make a difference to Irish society. Homelessness still a very real problem in Ireland, and Local Infrastructure Housing Activation Funds (LIHAF) through Rebuilding Ireland aim to make this a thing of the past.

If you’re interested in an opportunity to become a funding partner to help deliver a project that really matters – please give me a call; Hugh Leddy 086-2528066 – or simply send us an email at info@thelandman.ie with your contact number and we’ll happily give you a call.
